Kansas Lifeline Program

You may be eligible to receive up to $17.02 off your monthly local telephone bill through the Lifeline Program. If you don't currently have telephone service, you may also be eligible for a discount on your connection charge through Link Up America. You are eligible if you receive any of the following: SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Program (Section 8), Veterans Pension Benefit and Survivors Pension, Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance Program, Tribally-Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Tribal Head Start (only those meeting its income qualifying standard), Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, or 135% of the federal poverty level. Any type of documentation other than a previous year's taxes as evidence of income the consumer must present THREE CONSECUTIVE MONTHS of statements.
